The journey down under started with a crazy 4.45am start! Our pre-booked taxi to get us to asker station turned up 30 minutes early and promptly started the meter.
Despite the time and the rain we handled everything well feeding the kids their breakfast on the flytoget.
At the airport we checked in and tanja shopped while armada slept, nirvana slept, and pappa drunk espresso. Tanja shopped until the last "boarding call" was announced and we had to run like crazy to get the plane. Nothing had been bought and we were the last onto the plane but the holidays were beginning so it was all forgotten quickly especially with nirvana getting a real kick from the take off. Her first words on the plane were "pappa! pappa! we are high up!!" This was before take-off. Eventually the take-off excitement was replacement with some fear when the plane plateaued in the air leaving you with the floating stomach.
Both girls played lovely together most of the flight occassionally staring out the window. Landing at heathrow nirvana proclaimed with some concern "look mamma we're back here again!" I think we'll need to talk to the people that design airports.
The bustrip to oxford was hectic with kids running around and mamma and pappa tired and exhausted. Getting off at High st Turid and Nils were just around the corner holding the big floating kitty ballon.
we all had a lovely lunch w turids homemade cinnamonrolls and the girls went nuts with post-its notes!
Turid made just another amazing dinner, pumpkin pie w broussel sprouts and peanut-spinache-chillie sauce! ).
