Another stupid journalist, Tore Oksholen

Tore Oksholen
has today written
this article titled "Skyt en elg, skaff en klimakvote".
It claims that one elk causes as much CO2 emission as flying from Oslo to Trondeim 36 times a year.
Well i've read of some really
stupid people in my time but this guy takes the cake!
Last time i checked planes were not running on bio-fuel.
You only need half a brain to know CO2, or any other greenhouse gas, emission really counts when it comes from fossil fuels**. What animals emit is CO2 that's been taken from the atmosphere. It's the same as burning wood, despite that C02 is emitted, the tree took the CO2 from the atmosphere to begin with so burning it is simply returning the same CO2 back. There's no increase in greenhouse gases. Introducing methane into the equation changes it little in the big picture of any naturally occurring ecological system.
When you burn fossil fuel like a plane or car you are emitting CO2 that came from a oil reserve deep under the ground far away from the atmosphere and so increasing greenhouse gases.
Tore, please next time you write something try to show some integrity. If you'd just hinted at the complexity behind the fun you've had in this article we'd might just have taken you professional journalist.
** This isn't entirely correct, there are other sources of greenhouse gases that are not part of the atmosphere's natural cycle like volcanic eruptions.
