Compaq Proliant 1850R

UPDATE: I gave up on installing linux on this machine. I could not get around the bad memory problem.

I went and bought a dual Xeon box and took the Compaq Smart Array 221 out of the proliant and into this box. All works wonderfully with Gentoo.

• 2x 600PII CPUs
• 1Gb RAM,
• 4x 18Gb SCSIs, SmartArray 221 RAID,
• 2x 1Gb network cards.

ended up being bad memory. Will run memtest86 and try BadMEM to workaround…
